Acceptable use policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Velto Mail is built for everyday business correspondence: people writing to customers, clients, suppliers and colleagues. This policy keeps the service trustworthy for everyone who relies on it, and protects the reputation of our mail servers so your messages reach the inbox.
Not allowed
- Unsolicited bulk or commercial email (spam), including to purchased, rented or scraped lists.
- Email that breaks Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the US CAN-SPAM Act, or similar laws, including messages without consent where consent is required, or without a working way to unsubscribe.
- Bulk marketing newsletters and campaigns. Use a dedicated email marketing service for those.
- Phishing, impersonation, malware, or fraud.
- Forged headers or sender addresses, or sending from domains you don’t control.
- Harassment, threats, or content that is illegal where it is sent or received.
- Reselling mailboxes or using them to run an email-sending service for others.
Sending limits
Each mailbox can send to up to 500 recipients per day. For the first 14 days after an account’s payment clears, the limit is 100 recipients per day; it then rises on its own. A message to 3 people counts as 3. Receiving is never limited. These limits are well above what ordinary business correspondence needs.
Forwarding a mailbox to an address outside your account is limited to 2 destinations. Each destination must confirm by clicking a link before anything is forwarded to it, and every forward is logged.
How we monitor and enforce
- Every connected domain must be verified, and outgoing mail is signed with DKIM and checked against SPF and DMARC.
- We track bounce and complaint rates for every mailbox. Unusual spikes trigger an automatic pause while we review.
- Addresses that hard-bounce or file spam complaints are suppressed so they are not mailed again.
- If a mailbox appears to be compromised or is used for spam, we may suspend its sending immediately and contact the account owner. Repeated or serious violations lead to account closure without refund.
If you received unwanted mail sent through Velto Mail, forward it with full headers to abuse@veltomail.com. We review every report. Legal notices may be sent by mail to Velto Corp. at the postal address in our terms.
